Eighth Anniversary Combo Breaker First Post
I spoke to Santander after my request was turned down with the same reasons as above (the account I’m applying through isn’t the account for business). This is factually incorrect so I called this morning to be told they can’t change decisions at the moment at all. They may set up a team in a week or two but no decisions are currently due to be overturned.

I know a few people who have been rejected/declined. Reasons haven't been given in all cases, but in one case it was a recently self employed person who was rejected because they did not run a PAYE scheme. That seemed harsh as not all self employed will have employees and so may not run a PAYE scheme.

Most self employed do not employ people and do not need to have a payroll running.  However, limited companies do.  But limited comanies are not self employed (despite some thinking they are).  So, maybe that case was a limited company rather than a self employed individual

  • Hi
I have been rejected by Santander over the account used catch all, they have refused to review the application, I lodged a complaint but this has been ignored and no further contact received from them so I've lodged a complaint with the Financial Ombudsman, may take time but at least it's something. I will be changing to a different bank as soon as the next rate drop occurs on my 123 account,  terrible service...

I completed the Santander appeals form on Tuesday to argue my case that I should have been accepted. You can find this on the website and it gets emailed to the relevant department, much better than trying to call and talk to someone who probably can’t help anyway.
i received acceptance forms the next day so completed them, but I’ve yet to receive any money.
  • Good afternoon .. I got accepted on the bounce back loan through my bank, however I stupidly took a small amount now-where near the 25% we can claim up to on our annual turn over, so far everything iv read suggests you can’t go back in for a top up/second loan up to your 25% does any one know if this is something that could be changed or reviewed ?

There is no possibility of a second BBL.

No, any business can only apply for one BBL.
