Car Rental Deposit Refund

Has anyone rented a car from Easirent and struggled to get the rental deposit refunded?
I returned a rental car on the 19 March,2020 and I am still waiting for the £1500 deposit to be refunded back to my credit card.... all the while, I am being charged interest on the charge.

Did they actually take the money from your card, as opposed to a pre-authorisation which remained pending..?

If the former, have you contacted the hire firm and what do they say..?

If you ask your card provider for a chargeback they will expect you to make contact and attempt resolution with the firm first.

Four years is quite a long time. How many times have you contacted them to request it back? I’d say it’s time to take it further. 

Looking online it seems they get consistently poor reviews.
