Sewage advice

OK somewhat water related i couldn't find a more suitable forum area. (Admins please switch if you can)
We are currently connected to a Septic tank. The problem as i understand it is we need to upgrade ours soon. What is frustrating is we are about 150metres uphill from the closest sewage point. Does anyone know of any grants or levers we can pull some sort of Grant scheme to help us pay to connect to the Sewer?
For example i have seen this first sewerage which points to a possibility here, any pointers most appreciated as we just can't afford tens of thousands to pay contractors to connect ourselves for what should be a basic privilege today to flush your sewage away!

I don't think there is any entitlement, but your local councilor or even MP would be a good place to start.
