OneCall and Close Brothers-don't trust, excessive fees
Comments

Rs 65 sadly in this instance you are legally wrong as Close Brothers are acting as legal agents for OneCall which in essence means that Close Brothers represent and act for OneCall and as such in law they are one person, so when they were informed that the policy was cancelled and they confirmed receipt of my email stating that the policy was cancelled, OneCall was duly informed. In any event you have to ask yourself, "Why if a client has cancelled his policy would Close Brothers not inform OneCall when they are so closely related and communicate with each other as agent and principle, could there be a profit motive . perhaps claim fees when they are not due???!!!" Not that conduct of respectable and honourable organisations.0

You advised the wrong party if you wished to cancel the cover that's the bottom line.2

I am only trying to help but i suspect nothing will change your mind so good luck1 -
Sadly rs65 the relationship between Close Brothers and OneCall are as one, both are financial institutions operating in insurance and finance, both contractually bound as agents and principle in English Law, thus either entity, ie, CB or OC, are bound by the the actions of the other and their actions binds the other, thus equally if you inform either CB or OC that the policy is cancelled, then you have informed both parties, it seems from your posts that you act for corporations in disputes, I note you have made in excess of 4000 posts in this forum, is that the case?0

It states that you must call One Call to cancel in their terms, so you have to call them. Im afraid Thrugelmir is right here.
On a side note, asking for £50 per letter they send you is laughable, you wont see your £700 in "fee's" i can assure you of that.1 -
Dear Insideguy, evidently you work for OneCall, sadly you seem to ignore the fact that Close Brothers were specially requested to inform OneCall as you are partners in this enterprise and the finance agreement was contemporaneously cancelled. The evidence shows that no new contract with Close Brothers was entered into, no new legal contract signed or entered into, this implies that you had instructed Close Brothers or deminimus collaborated with them to continue with the credit agreement without my authority, this is fraud, a criminal offence. I note that since my post this morning your alleged "OneCall debt recovery department " sent another communication to me, your continued fraudulent claims and harassment has incurred another fee from me in the sum of £50, you currently now owe £750 plus costs plus interest at the statutory rate. I note there are a number of complaints against your company on this forum, evidently, with good cause.0

Dear Thrugelmir,
you indeed neglect to consider that the terms of contract were adhered to as the contract was cancelled in time and thus when I informed them that the policy was cancelled and they acknowledged my email, this confirmed that the contract was cancelled with both Close Brothers and OneCall. You also neglect to mention that their agent agreed to cancel and not claim fees when proof of the new policy was provided, proof was provided. When I studied law this case represents onerous culpability for OneCall and Close Brothers in both contract and indeed Criminal law in relation to fraud.
I see you have posted in excess of 76000 posts, interest or commercially motivated?0 -

You seem to be making personal comments on both myself &Thrugelmir which are irrelevant to your case i suggest you leave this post well alone going forward as you clearly dont have any intentions on listening to anyone.
Good luck with with getting your £7501
