Tough Mudder - refund

My partner signed up for Tough Mudder around 6 months ago and paid the £80 entrance fee. The event was due to be held last Saturday and was cancelled, understandably. The company asked people to consider not asking for refunds, but that the option was there if people wanted their money back. My partner has now submitted two refund requests and has been trying to get in touch with no response and the refund still hasn't come through. I can see on Twitter that lots of other people are also struggling to get their money back.

Does anyone have any idea how to proceed with this? Is there a timeframe in which Tough Mudder legally have to refund the money?
