Also you need to be sure to get past day 21 from when P/Eye got the Alarm firm's name from the rk/owner firm, in order to be sure they won't swiftly post a complaint version with attachments!3 -
Hi folks,, an update to this:
Son has received an email from work fleet section who informed him they've checked on the PE site and ParkingEye have cancelled the charge. I've logged in and confirmed this and taken a screen shot for posterity!
I can't determine if the appeal caused this or the hotel cancelling the PCN. I got him to email his contact at the hotel the day the NTH was received but they were taking their time in confirming in writing that the PCN had been cancelled so I submitted the appeal the day before the final day for appealing using the Edna Basher template and as per CM's instructions. FWIW, the hotel seem to have someone whose job it is to cancel these on behalf of staff and contractors PE are possibly used to it.
Thanks for the advice; on reading my initial post I can see why it initially appeared that I didn't understand keeper/driver etc. which I do, however with cars leased to companies I was trying to explore the option of totally removing the employer form the loop by making my son the day to day keeper for the purpose of appeals, just in case in went to POPLA and the assessor was ignorant of the law etc. On this point, is this a step that's possible or should CM's advice for him to appeal as the company the only way forward?
I ask this in anticipation of him getting another in the future as he works all over the place.
Thanks again folks.

IMO this claim had no chance and would only have caused the hotel grief if it had not been cancelledYou never know how far you can go until you go too far.1

Given your son woul dhave had direct damages agfauinst the hotel had it not been cancelled, which would hjave made PE very unhappy as suing their principal isnt great for them.3

Nice result! However with cars leased to companies I was trying to explore the option of totally removing the employer form the loop by making my son the day to day keeper for the purpose of appeals, just in case in went to POPLA and the assessor was ignorant of the law etc. On this point, is this a step that's possible or should CM's advice for him to appeal as the company the only way forward?I doubt the company would want to register him as the keeper on the V5C, but I think they need to stremline their policy so that they send out a letter saying that the lessee/keeper of this car on a day to day basis, is xxxxxxPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
