external score decline. what does this mean?

Possibly, but that's not important. CRAs never lend money, no matter how many points you collect. You can't even exchange them for Argos vouchers.
Lets start again. What cards, debts and limits do you have currently?1 -
I have x3 cards. Three with £0 balances (one I had with low interest), (another I kept for going abroad it it has 0% on commission) (the other is MBNA now) and one with £2000 owing (Sainsbury's). I only have 2000 debt that's all that will be repaid once I get refund from the holiday from easyJet which I still haven't had yet. same as everyone due to COVID-19.0

Everyone else is missing the point. Not sure if this has anything to do with credit reports.
I don't see why you need to do a balance transfer if the card is currently 0% interest and you expect to receive a refund of the spending making up the balance?
But if you really want to then I would try to do the balance transfer again before giving up. If you don't need the new card and your total credit limits are more than your annual income then I would close it.1 -

I applied for credit card (MBNA) but I have a good credit score with no missed payments. I wanted to make a balance transfer from Sainsbury's credit card to MBNA but said they couldn't as there is an external score decline? I'm am waiting for refund to pay off the Sainsbury's credit card but as like everyone COVID-19 there are delays to pay off the Sainsbury's credit card, but Sainsbury's no interest ends in august.
What does this mean and what can I do? Also, does closing credit cards harm your credit score?1 -

It can be simply that the company isn't wanting customers in your group just now.
True.
This happened to me 2 weeks ago when I applied for NatWest credit card. I really didn't expect they may decline it.
Absolutely immaculate credit history, many current accounts (never overdrawn), 3 other credit cards (2 paid in full each month, 1 is still on 0% introductory rate). In addition to that, I have a current account with NatWest since 2018 so they already know me.
I would really like to know what kind of customer are they looking for. I know that no one will tell me, but I'd be very curious about what is that difference between me and those who get approved.
Btw, I then applied for Halifax and got approved immediately for a card with almost 6k limit.

My annual income is higher than MBNA credit limit. Should I close it if nothing comes of the complaint?0 -
