Need advice on TV purchased from Currys

Hey Guys
First ever post, so please forgive me if I've posted on the section.
Can someone, please help and advice me what to do. Currys have really stressed me out!
I received delivery of my LG 65" C9 TV yesterday. However, when unboxing it, I noticed a crack on the screen. Yesterday, I called Currys, immediately but was placed on hold then the call center closed.  Today, I've tried contacting customer services to arrange a replacement from 9am to 6pm. Each time I've called, I've been placed on hold for over 1 hour then for the call to disconnect. 3 times, I got through to the relevant dept, only for the to call to be disconnected (intentional?). 3rd time, the agent said, he will arrange replacement but needed to put me on hold, but ended up diverting my call to the wrong dept, which I feel was deff intentional. I've spent literally 6 hours trying to contact Currys but haven't managed to arrange a replacement. I've even tried email and Facebook. Their customer service is just terrible, even after informing them, I shall be undergoing Chemo Therpy, this week.

Can someone advice, what can I do from here? I just want a replacment or a refund (Ive bought the TV on Credit, where I pay for the TV next year). How do I escalate this issue?
Hope to hear from you soon.

Kind Regards
Aman

Sounds odd to me, I bought a TV from them last year. The driver insisted on opening the package and showing me there was no damage.

I later bought a TV from them from my aunt earlier this year, same thing.

And even if they did not insist, surely you did?

    Hey Dan
Thanks for the reply. Yep, thats the number Ive been calling. Ive literally tried all day today and have a feeling its going to be the same tomorrow. The agents just hang up on me, after waiting hours on the line.

Evidently not, so what's your point?

    Hey
The driver just dropped the Tv off and left. Later, when I unboxed it, I noticed the crack.

Had the same issue with a washing machine. I phoned and finally got through after an hour to be told not our problem im putting you through to Hoover, I tried to stop them but they were adament, the woman was very rude!! Hoover then told me it was a Currys problem as was damaged in transit which I obviously knew! So I rang Currys again... after being on hold for over 8 hours (2 separate calls as first one got cut off) I was then cut off again, so I rang the knowhow number and finally got through after a few hours to a nice chap that helped with next day exchange. (my partner is a keyworker and needs to wash their clothes daily so maybe why it was next day?). Replacement washing machine was still damaged although a lot less damaged so we kept it as we were desperate for a washing machine. Have submitted a complaint via Facebook. Would never buy anything from Currys again as we ordered a freezer which has a small crack in it too and after seeing how they had items loaded in their van im not surprised the items are damaged. I would keep trying their phone numbers as I tried FB and that was a waste of time.

  • Hey Harry
You deff went through, what I’ve been going through. The last person I spoke to seemed nice, promised he would arrange replacement but had to put me on hold but ended up transferring me to the wrong dept, lol.
Will have to try tomorrow. Yep, never again will I order from Currys.

I don't know if you've noticed but there is a bit of a virus going around, something that is seriously limiting the amount of interaction than can happen between people.
I very much doubt if any delivery driver would be willing to come into a house and unpack a tv in front of the occupants.
