Physical valuations

@jenks48 It seems everyone who is waiting on a valuation is phoning the surveyor directly instead of waiting and by the above, seems to be getting results. Our valuation was also instructed on the 5th of May (NatWest) so our phone call tomorrow will now be to L&G.

I'm awaiting a valuation from Halifax. Any ideas how I can chase it?

Hii.. why don’t you ring Barclays and ask which surveyor has been instructed to carry out your valuation. Mine is with Natwest but I rang them yesterday, after legal and general told me , my valuation has been allocated to a surveyor. Natwest told me, connells were instructed and to wait for connells to ring my vendor. I rang connells and gave them my vendors mobile number and after 30 mins, I got a text confirming survey booked for Friday 29th may. Please contact Barclays. 

I did ring Barclays today...and they told me mine was in the queue and they would expect someone to pick it up soon....I'm still waiting this has been going on since the 5th May. 

My broker informs me we have to wait.
Whole process has been a nightmare..
Not much else I can do.😔

Please let me know how you get on broker seems to think mine will get done by the 8th June ..with all the other backlog ones .good luck.

So they contacted us last Monday to say it was being done on Friday, we were very excited as we weren't expecting it to be so soon...

Update... after hearing nothing from anyone since our Valuation was booked on Friday WE had to contact them today and were told it was not done because they had no one to do it... they didn't bother to tell us or Natwest this. Quite shocking really, I understand having a big workload and we've been pending a valuation since March 30th - we've been patient. So annoying to have to chase them just to find out the appointment they made couldn't be done.

Back to waiting ...

I've raised this with my broker who tells me there is no way he can tell me who they have assigned it too. My application started on the 9th March right mistakes by Barclays and now I'm waiting again for the valuation. Think I'll make a call to Barclays see if I can get anywhere especially after all the mistakes they made on my application.

We got further in a two minute phone call to NatWest than we done through about 6 emails to broker. We emailed broker on Thursday and he replied today still with less information. He told us to wait and we would hear at some point about the valuation.

If so has anyone any info if they are still valuing at pre Covid prices?

This is something I've been wondering too. Awaiting a physical valuation on a new build I'm buying..

Still waiting... EA confirmed with vendor that my valuation definitely went ahead last Thursday but nothing yet. Tearing my hair out waiting for that final yes or no!

I am also awaiting a valuation from Aldermore, anyone know how i can chase it? My broker tells me that they do not assign dates but just gets picked up. Valuation has been instructed but do not know which company Aldermore uses for valuation. Property is a new build.
