I really want to take my recently deposited money out of this bank. Can’t access online or authorise as there appears to be a password problem. Over a month since I contacted customer services, 2 weeks since I made a complaint and a week since emailing the CEO.0

Thanks eskbanker but you have to be able to communicate with them to do anything and that is the whole problem. An update after I rang again this week - they have now brought in more telephone staff who are not able to discuss issues with you as they don't have the expertise but they will take a note of your issue and pass it on to customer services promising a call back in 4 days. Mine took less than 48 hours and the problem is resolved.0

Had a nightmare journey with Vanquis Bank Savings who I sent my savings to after reading on Martin Lewis website that they were recommended for a 1.6% Fixed 1 year . Sent my money in three separate amounts of 10,000 each time on the 16th, 17th and 20th April. Was asked to send by post proof of ID documents which I did and had a letter from them on the 20 April 2020 to say received and they would be in touch within the next few days. Then had an email from them on the 2 May 2020 saying they still needed proof of residency and ID so I rang them to say they had already confirmed they had received the proof and returned the documents to me. Spoke with someone at Vanquis (and got their name) on the 5 May who said to ignore the email as there was a backlog. Silly me thought everything was ok after all was on Martin Lewis website as being ok so was still waiting for my account number coming through with proof of my money in their account and then today some 2 months after money has gone into wherever it has been sitting with Vanquis I get a letter stating they have not been able to accept my documents!!! Really - I am a pensioner who provided proof of my state pension and have lived at my address for 13 years and was born in the UK and have lived here for 68 years without any break living elsewhere. Mmm this is a scam. They have had my money 2 months without giving me a penny interest. Multiply that by the number of people this has also happened to and there does seem to be a lot, then they are quids in and we are quids out. Martin Lewis what can be done? Financial Ombudsman will be hearing from me but are probably swamped with complaints. At the very least I want my interest. Might not be much to Vanquis but it matters to me and I feel very aggrieved. Incidentally I also put money with Saga and Virgin Money around the same time without a hitch. Try them if you have money to invest but AVOID VANQUIS AT YOUR PERIL.0
