Web cam with Zoom HOw?

 Before the meeting my web cam worked on the windows camera app and also  in the zoom meeting but it turns out  i had the microphone issue which i was unaware of until the zoom meeting.
so after the meeting i decided to see if installing the web cam software would make a difference which it did.
I had No reason to suspect the microphone wasn't working correctly as windows had recognised the web cam in the windows camera app and even named it.

That's why I was confused too. Nevertheless, it seems (re)installing the webcam software enabled the mic built in to the webcam and so seemingly solved the issue. (I imagine the real issue was that the mic built in to the PC wasn't properly setup, but doing what the OP did worked around the problem).

Hi Everyone New problem with the Microphone.  Pretty certain it is the web cam Mike as i dont have any other Mike
When i try to use it with the voice recorder sometimes it plays back like a record playing at high speed yet if i restart the PC and try again it works fine.
Any idea's?
