    Update...
Garage have said they think it is a problem with the fuel pressure regulator... I wont make it to the garage until later to ask (and my husband took the call)
Does this part fall under any of the following (apologies my car knowledge is very poor)

Fuel systems; mechanical/electrical fuel pump, sensors, stepper motor; fuel injectors.

    Many thanks!

Could be argued either way. A typical common-rail diesel pressure reg very likely does have electronics in it that would allow it to be termed a sensor, feeding info to the ECU, and quite probably a stepper motor controlled by the ECU. But it isn't explicitly either. Which, as far as the average used-car warranty is concerned, probably rules it out.

On the bright side, it's not a hideously expensive bit or a huge job.

Thanks, hes going to ring them and see what they say. If not, I'll just pay the £200. I forgot to ask if this is something that just can happen suddenly or a slow progress type thing. As only bought it from a garage 2 months ago so I hope they didnt sell it knowing this problem existed.

    I would try asking here

As Peugeot can require their won software to read faults. I know my old 206 & 207 CC's did.

You can read the generic OBDII fault codes though. I managed to with my son's Pug 207 that had a dodgy O2 sensor.
