When will UK based hotels re-open (based on the re-opening timeline published this week)?

Manchester city centre hotels looking to take bookings from the end of May/beginning of June, so in line with York, above.
I would guess that 'country' hotels might take a little longer as they're less reliant on a business audience.

You may be able to make hotel bookings but you have also got to find somewhere to eat when you are there. 

If you are happy to exist on places like Greggs (assuming there is one nearby and open) and deliveries of pizza and other takeaway options to your room then it's not going to be easy.

We have booked hotels for mid August in the hope that this issue is partially resolved.

There are certain hotels open for business people and delivery people who have to stay overnight at places and have been all along.  Some Premier Inns.  Bed only No bars or restaurants.   I just don't know which ones.   Just phone about to see as obviously I don't know where you are planning on travelling to.   Bigger cities should have them.  London certainly does.

My regular diet consists mainly of takeways anyways, so that's not an issue.

Based on what Boris has said though I thought hotels aren't legally allowed to open until after 4th July?
