New phone question

Hi,
I've upgraded to a new mobile phone which only takes nano SIMs. My current SIM is a 'normal' SIM & so I will be transferring my old SIM onto a new nano card, thus keeping the same phone number.
My question is this: How do I backup everything on my old phone (e.g. photos, WhatsApp conversations) onto my existing SIM before transferring it to the new SIM, so that when I use my new phone everything will appear on it? At the moment, everything I have is only saved to the mobile & not the SIM card.
I have a Moto E 2nd generation.
Many thanks for any help!

You cannot save everything to the sim card. you have to back-up the phone to transfer to the new phone.

Plenty of help on Youtube if you type in "changing your android phone to android phone" or similar.

Sync everything you can with your Google account. Follow the instructions on the Whatsapp website on how to backup & restore your Whatsapp data. Copy anything else off the phone onto a computer. Maybe do this with photos just in case. When you start the new phone up it will ask you to sync with your Google account and it will download all that data. Install Whatsapp and follow the restore instructions. Copy any other data saved to a computer onto the new phone.
