Heya,
i was just wanting some advice really! I currently have a help to buy ISA and pay in to that monthly I was wondering as I wanted to look to the future as I am currently 22 I wanted to start looking at getting a Stock and Shares ISA as well for a long term investment. From my understanding you can only pay in to one ISA per year so while I am paying in to the Help to Buy ISA can I set up and pay in to a Stocks and Shares ISA at the same time in the same tax year?? And second question what place do people recomend getting a Stocks and shares ISA?? I have currently been looking at LLOYDS bank?? They also have an investment ISA and I dont know of that is similar to a stocks and shares ISA?? And if I could pay in to that and a help to buy ISA??
Sorry for all the questions!! But thank you for any advice 😊

yes you can.

Historically expensive and low quality.I wanted to start looking at getting a Stock and Shares ISA as well for a long term investment. So, you are looking in excess of 15 years?

If the OP has read any other similar threads on the forum he might guess the next question.
What is your pension situation , as this can be the best long term investment?

Currently I don't have a pension I'm still a student at the moment and my course is 6 years long. But as soon as I get a job that's number 1 priority to get a pension set up!! Thank you 😊0 -
You'll probably struggle to get personal recommendations on here as investing is all down to personal preferences and appetite for risk. What I would say though regarding Lloyds bank is... No, no, never! Probably the worst place you could choose!
I'd suggest a good place to start would be to have a read through the MSE guide on the subject....

I'd probably suggest Vanguard if you just want to gain some broad market exposure, or AJ Bell if you have specific investments you want to hold - although even the likes of Hargreaves Lansdown is relatively competitive if you don't have a large amount invested, and you can now transfer from HL free of charges to somewhere cheaper when the difference in price becomes meaningful.
