Morning all. Lovely and warm. Birds singing. Bliss.Nelski I love liver and onions. Haven’t had it for a while as it was getting too rich for my ‘system’ but have just thought - I could try a smaller portion and have loads of potato as padding. Worth a try. Sooo delicious.Plans today include stripping the bed and getting that washing on, making a chicken curry for DH (he likes vindaloo!!) and I’ll do something more bland for me.Yesterday the park was the busiest I’ve seen but everyone keeping their distance. We have another three weeks of lockdown here.Off to get that bed done.Take care all x11

Monna, we're definitely not wealthy but when I was telling my children (both in their 30's) about their aunt breaking a toe falling over her clothes prop they both asked what a clothes prop was. I suppose most people have whirly lines nowadays. I used to astonish them by telling them that until I was 8 we didn't have an inside toilet and had only 2 tv channels (the beeb and the one we didn't watch).11

Snoozer, I know. Isn't it astonishing how the things that were common place when we were children are akin to dinosaurs today? Like the iron framed mangle with its huge wooden rollers that occupied its own shed in the garden.
I had left home before my parents invested in a second (or third) hand TV. They got it so that my grandmother could see the Queens Christmas speech. I was most amused to see Nan stand up when the Queen came on and bow reverently from time to time. We never did convince her that the people on the screen couldn't see her as well as she could see them. Every time she watched she took off her pinny and combed her hair first.
We only had BBC. You had to have another aerial to get ITV and my father have regarded that as reckless spending. We wouldn't have been allowed to watch it anyway.
I wonder why ITV was regarded with such suspicion? It was certainly lower class!I believe that friends are quiet angels

NELS, Mum loves liver too 😯When I was in Goa, there was a bar that did liver , onions n mash for about £3 !It was very popular with the Brits .
Did anyone watch Captain Tom last night? What an absolute trooper he is 😍When I dropped Mum's shopping off yesterday, I saw a few garden parties with huge groups of people drinking, dancing etc, all very close together .No social distancing at all
Anyway must get going, huggles to all the poorlies n peed offs today 😘x"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Beautifully sunny here in retirement hotel. Well it feels like a hotel.... I'm the chambermaid, cook, gardener though! Fortunately also the owner and have a garden so really not complaining. Can't get the staff though!Dug up the last of the wild garlic leaves and having that with some gorgeous tomatoes that my daughter sent us. Including the tastiest heritage tomatoes. Our local dairy had started veggie/bread/eggs/milk/yogurt boxes so we have had those delivered weekly. Normally they would serve local restaurants. We will carry on as very very good quality. We did have 2 minutes silence at 11am yesterday with our socially distanced neighbours. It was good to TALK , loudly from a distance! Sleep well especially those in isolation or poorly.10
