Now Im no longer going out first thing in the morning I have discovered that my husband spends about 15 mins every morning going through the TV mag with a fine toothed comb and marking things he is going to watch and putting a tick besides things he thinks I may  like to watch. Then he completely ignores it for the rest of the day and browses through Sky or Netflix.

Haha I spoke too soon. Helping teenage daughter tidy her bedroom earlier I emptied 4 halfempty tic tac mints to make 2 fuller packs. I was told I was sad.... then shethought the empty containers would be ideal for keeping false eyelashes in!

I have to say that I did hoover my shed

Yas!!!!!! I'm not the only one!!!! I generally clear/clean out our shed once a year, and every time, I think about hoovering it... then I won't, thinking it is a step TOO far and make do with a brush and a dustpan.... and what would the neighbours think if they saw me doing it.   :#  Now, that I know I'm not alone... I might just do it this year!!! (Saving it to the August bank holiday weekend.... )  :)  And clean the shed windows too!!!

How many pegs to you have? are you running short?
If only!  Have not counted them, but we are definitely not running short!!!
It is a question of do you use 3 pegs to hang 2 pieces of washing (over lapping them), or 3 pegs to hang 3 pieces of washing (1 peg per item)?   Obviously wind is a factor that has to be taken into consideration...  :)  (yawn)...
Generally I do leave the laundry to OH as there are 'rules' that apparently, I'm completely unaware of... and then there's the 'life is too short...'

My OH pointed out that my floor washing method was very inefficient (ex services).

If I'm feeling extravagant and haven't a big load to hang up, it's two pegs per item, three for large bath towels. Four for duvet covers.
otherwise the rule of three for two applies, never one solo peg! *shudder*

My OH pointed out that my floor washing method was very inefficient (ex services). So he showed me how it should be done. Sadly, I am a very (very) slow learner 😉🤫

Mine is ex services too and we have different ideas as to cleaning and deep cleaning.

I don't have a shed, so no hovering required. Next door emptied and hoovered their shed today, mind you they hoover their decking at least 2 times a week prior to lockdown!  As well as re turfing the lawn every other!
Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"
  • The fence between us & our neighbour blew down in February and we all agreed we'd wait until the better weather came to replace it.

Hubby decided he wanted to do it (as a fencer wouldn't do it as well🤔) so has spent the last couple of weeks not only replacing the broken fence but the rest of our fences.

He's done such a good job of it that he was asked if he'd repair someone else fence, which he did (only took a day) and now  two others have asked if he'll replace their fences.

    i sense a career change.........

as for me.....well someone has to take on the role of supervisor 😆

You could alway take to cutting the lawn with a pair of scissors.  I lived in a ground floor flat many years ago. Next door's had a small patch of lawn and they would cut it with a pair of scissors.  Not shears but scissors!!!!
