Does anyone know about shops in the Sheffield area having Wii's in stock? We've been looking for ages and have had no luck so far.

Just ordered mine from Woolworths. 219.98 (with a sonic game, which sounds quite good from the reviews), no delivery to pay as is being delivered to local store. Should arrive monday or before! Just got to try and find a Wii Play now...

My first post - im new, so not sure if this helps or in right place
My sister ordered a Wii console just an hour ago from www.microdirect.co.uk.
sports package one cost £239.99 but delivery was extra, charged by the location. The price is higher than a few i have seen but also alot less than most i have seen so i reckon if your desperate its gotta be worth it!?!?!Thanks

i wouldn't touch MD with a barge pole.

bought a dvd player with built in HDD for my dad for christmas. he opened it on xmas day and found there was no remote and there was also a small dent in the top of it, so we took it back on the day after boxing day and they said that because we didn't take it back within 7 days, they will neither refund nor exchange it. after two hours arguing, the manager said (and i quote) "as a gesture of goodwill, we'll supply a remote"

so after waiting over two weeks for the remote, we got it today from our local store. got it home, plugged it all in and the DVD is faulty. the TV signal dies when the DVD player is put on to standby. not only that, the HDD contains about 100 hours of German programmes & films (kill bill etc.) so i went back again to the shop and they again refused to exchange or refund, first claiming that in the two hours between getting the remote and taking it back again, they claimed that i had recorded 100 hours of german TV which is dated october & november 2006!!

Then, the cheeky B*****d manager claimed that i had dropped the DVD player, causing the dent. He then went on to say that i dropped it, causing the dent, which in turn caused the fault, the recording and the remote to disappear.

Needles to say, they aren't budging on the refund or exchange, so we're going to the small claims court.


Plus, they were selling Wiis for extortionate prices over xmas and still now.

but that's just my experience, don't let that put you off

i phoned all the morrisons in the area within half an hour from here st.helens had 3 delivered today. they saved me 1 and still had 1 left when i went to collect mine!! yippee £179.99!!!!

I phoned Gamestation earlier in Redditch, they have 'loads' of Wiis in, at £249.99 with a choice of 2 games, also have Wii play in too. They won't reserve them so mght be worth going there, or ringing your local gamestation - store locator here: http://www.gamestation.co.uk/store%5Flocator/

I didnt order online but went into my local store. I hope it comes sooner than it states.

Just bought mine from HMV in Guildford 30 mins ago for £179 and there was one more left. Worth a try.
