i managed to bag a wii at argos, and was told that it is excluded from the 30 day money back guarantee unless faulty!

And I bet the reason is that most of their stock is sold on ebay 'with receipt'
Nothing against ebayers selling them but as a large retailer they should not deny a persons rights to a refund just because the item is in demand, i notice you cannot reserve them either with argos using the online reservation.
  • Has anyone had any dealings with www.bizits.co.uk ?
From what i've read some people say keep away and others say they've got all or some of their goods i.e. consoles and 1 game and the company will send the other game later on.

    Many thanks in advance.

I tried the £20 code and it did not work. Tried a different card this time as they cancelled the last one I ordered last week.

    I used FESTIVE20

I can see that auction prices have indeed dropped.

However I cant see why anyone needs to offload by Xmas. Demand will continue for months.

I have both standard and modded ones left and am in no hurry to flog them. Still selling them at about £350 inc Wii Play and business is slow but steady.

95% of the ebay sellers are like me, they spotted an oppurtunity and bought stock to resell. Luckily I did most of my business in October and did my research:D A lot of people were buying because the press said the Wii was in short supply, and these sellers now have problems.

Yes there will be stock issues after Christmas because If Nintento have been flying them in then none will arrive on the boats in Jan/early feb, but then there won't be the urgency to buy one for Christmas
  • showeing up on amazon but not letting me add too basket
  • I have purchased of ebay at £215 so slightly over the retail. Just looked at the toys r us deal & that comes with 3 games for £45 more, I would have got about £30 for them in CEX. Makes the ebay deal a good one.

Oh & it is for me sod the kids!!!!

  • My local Blockbuster had them last night for £170 BUT you had to buy any 3 games as well. They were for collection tomorrow.

You have no right to a refund of any goods in any shop if it's just because you've changed your mind. All shops have to offer a refund/replacement/repair if the goods are faulty. Argos exclude many items from their 30 day refund policy, but as this is a good will gesture they are entitled to do so.

If you buy one second hand off ebay (even if it's unopened in the box) and it proves faulty your recourse is to the seller i.e. ebay seller but if they are not trading as a business then you may find that you are stuffed.
