To be honest its the same defence for a big company, how do you know that the last minute Wii's that DSG group (or anyone who is selling "over the RRP") cost them the same to buy as the "usual stock" how do you know that the distributers are not making them pay more? OR that getting them to the stores in constant "panic mode" costs the same as if they use the normal distribution methods? Again they are not holding a gun to your head to make you buy them. If you feel strongly enough about over pricing simply boycott the stores that you feel are charging unfair prices, it really is that simple, just remember that they are not forcing you to buy and that in order to get "panic" last minute stock may actually cost them more money than supplying via the normal distribution channel. Oh yeah and they are there to make money, thats kind of the point of business, or did I get that wrong?0

Argos now! Package at £2690

and the reason its so expensive is because they are importing them. and because the "shortage" is getting shorter, the suppliers overseas are charging so much more.0

1. The retailers are being charged more for their stock, so they have to charge more.
Or
2. They know their is a shortage and what stock they do get, they are closing their eyes , thinking of a number and putting a £ sign in front of it to exploit desperate parents.
3. Nintendo don't have any say if a retailer sells a bundle or basic pack, it's the retailers who are bundling them together to make more profits.
Sad but business is business after all. Smile, you only get one life, LIVE IT.0 -

But that's the problem, people are being left with little choice but to pay for the over priced bundles as so few shops are selling standalone Wii's at the RRP. Whether it's the retailers, the distributors or Nintendo themselves forcing up these prices I don't know, but people who really want a Wii are being forced into an over-priced corner. The best option right now really does seem to be Ebay, as that way you do stand a good chance of not only getting one but also only paying the RRP or slightly over.0 -

Yes, it's called exploitation and scr*w*ng the customer.
At least with Ebay you have a choice of what you pay if you are careful with your bidding.0 -
