Make sure you pick somewhere that doesn't restrict you by adding DRM to the files. If you don't know what that means then a quick google search with the words DRM and BAD will soon explain!
I use Bleep.com which I highly recomend, although if you don't like electronic music you might not be so keen on it. No subscription or anthing though, so worth a look. It has won the UK Digital Music Award for "Best Music Store".0
