It isn't that I don't trust them, I really like the retro feel of the book accounts. The biggest benefit for me is that we can't access the money as the are completely offline. We'd have spent money on non-essential items online during the lockdown, that I can guarantee.0

What's the point of the poll?

Have you maybe set up a poll by mistake , rather than just asking a question ?0

What don’t you walk round your local high street to find out as there is no point in getting suggestions from on here that could be hundreds of miles away0

Lol no one will see if I voted for "question" or instead , controversially, "question".

I would think most people put their money into a savings account to get the higher rates, that current accounts do not offer.tommyedinburgh said:It isn't that I don't trust them, I really like the retro feel of the book accounts. Would not imagine them taking "said" money out to buy items online? But perhaps? If we spend online it is either with a debit card from the no interest bank or a credit card that we pay off each month.EDIT: For the OP. As you state you do not trust internet accounts, but you can compare in the link below any deals available on the high street. To get what is right for you.

So it isn't actually online savings accounts that you don't trust (according to the thread title), but you don't trust yourself. That's perfectly alright, and you seem to have a way to manage your weakness. It's not the fault of the online savings accounts though.tommyedinburgh said:I really like the retro feel of the book accounts. It's currently tied but I suspect there will be a breakout leader soon.AnotherJoe said:Lol no one will see if I voted for "question" or instead , controversially, "question".

Given the apparently inadvertent and nonsensical poll, it's pretty clear why OP doesn't trust him/herself with using technology to manage money and should stick to passbooks....
