Hi Everyone. Apologies if I'm posting in the wrong section. Its been quite some time since I have visited MSE forums and its all very new looking. Since my last visit I have, with the help of a business partner, created a small business in Dorset and we are doing ok, despite everything... Unfortunately, there is one thorn in our side.
We were in need of some commercial waste facilities as skip hire and local waste facilities were becoming a bit  unsuitable.
One day, after noticing an advert on FB I received a call from a sales person from a company called cheaperwaste.com (and have since learned from 1000 spam emails that they are a sub division of cheaperwhateveryoucanthinkof.com)...
Anyway we were offered an 1100ltr bin, fortnightly, general waste, chuck whatever you like in, just no green waste or tree routes, large boulders... Ideal.
First bill, 3 figure overweight charge bill, plus vat, plus bin rental (they admitted was applied wrongly) and no downsize option because of the overweight charge.....
turns out 'chuck whateveryou want in' only covers 70kg.... which was at no point stated by the excited salesperson.
I have asked for details of the companies regulatory body to which I was told there isn't one. we have been continually billed during the lockdown period, despite being closed. Even had another overweight charge... go figure...
I have requested a copy of the sales conversation that was recorded for training purposes... They informed me I had to apply in writing, so I have.
They have told us to buy out of our 24 month contract (not the stop any time I was sold service) there is a fee of almost £500....
The unnecessary stress of dealing with this whilst trying to make sure our guys can keep their heads above water is a real grind.
I wish I had been smart enough to look at their google reviews first...
What I did see were their trust pilot reviews which, I now notice, have a permanent streaming banner on their website, full of glowing one liners.... The coincidence is fabulous!

Anyways. Has anyone else ever had dealings with this company or can anyone help me understand how they can continue to charge me for providing a service that isnt what I was sold and doesn't suit my needs?

We work really hard to make sure our customers are happy with their choice to trust us... I wish others would do the same.

Kind regards,
Chris
