Has anyone been able to transfer an ISA into Virgin money? I have a double take e-ISA 7 and I am trying to transfer an old ISA in. I feel sure the option was under “Account options” but all I have is
  • My statement
  • Take money out
  • Pay money in
  • Interest and tax
  • Amend details
Nothing in the terms to say I can’t tranfer in but I can’t find anywhere else on the online system that gives the option to do it. I messaged them to ask where it was but all they said was “the easiest way is to log in and do it online via your profile”.

Oddly enough, relative had  the same and transferred in an ISA from another provider around three weeks ago - he was saying how easy it was because after you log in to Virgin, there is a summary page showing all accounts -  there is a "transfer into this ISA" link next to the ISA account on this  summary page.

I have issue 14.  I can see Transfer an ISA to this account under the line and account number on the front summary page.
Was MFW#60 - mortgage paid off December 2021

Thanks for your replies, so I wasn’t going mad, the option has definitely vanished!

Looks like they've closed that one to transfers. Not surprising really given the reduction in interest rates.
Anything in the T&Cs? There is often something about additional deposits, or transfers 'while the product is still available' - or something along those lines

I would expect that if it’s a fixed rate but it’s variable.
I can’t see anything in their terms and conditions, nor in the KPI Doc. There is the two withdrawal limit (which I have used up when I moved money to fixed rates before the rates dropped) but deliberately kept £40 in to keep it open. But that just stops me withdrawing, not paying in and I’m trying to transfer my Nationwide “loyalty” ISA over.

I have messaged them again to ask why I can’t transfer in, now I know where the option should be!

I had the same issue in March when I wanted to transfer in funds from a Santander 123 ISA with a dropping rate - whilst there wasn't an option available to request the transfer on online banking, I filled out the PDF form available somewhere on the VM website and they happily completed the transfer.

is there a message like "You need to renew your ISA declaration for this account."? i wasn't able transfer into an old double-take i5 last month until i clicked the "renew now" box and then the transfer in option appeared. i was a little dubious about doing this at first since it looked like i might be committing to pay fresh money into the account, but that wasn't necessary.

There’s no message but that might be it. Can you remember where it was?

I can’t find any way of doing it online other than this postal form but I don’t have a printer.

I think d63 might have the correct answer.

What happens if you click on 'Pay Money In'?
Does that give you either the option to renew ISA declaration, or transfer another ISA in?

sorry, but i am now not at all sure where that wretched message was exactly.
typically i kept a screenshot of the isa renewal declaration page but not the preceding page which led me there. and if i try to go back to the url it shows: VirginMoneyOnline/savings/ISAdeclaration it doesn't work.
