Sky refusing to cancel elderly parent's contract after long term hospitalisation

To everyone that took the time and effort to offer comment and advice, I would like to thank you. As suggested, I wrote to Sky explaining my situation. They cancelled the contract without penalty and wrote back a very understanding letter. Sadly, in the period of correspondence crossover, my father passed away.
