Working out when my BT contract ends

I'm just over a year into being a BT customer with around 6 months left on the contract. However I get an email from BT a few days back asking me to renew my contract. Either it's premature or I was only on an annual contract (although if that's the case it should have ended by now). I've tried looking on MyBT and I can't find any way of determining when I'm out of contract. Does anyone know a way, besides phoning them, to see when the contract ends? You'd think they'd just have it under your account.
I'm planning to leave anyway, what if I switch to another ISP would BT tell me that I can't or at least warn me I'm still under contract?

if you are in contract and switch BT will want the balance of months paid.Your sign up email should have months agreed on contract .Not all services will be the same time frame .Line Rental monthly/ 12 months BB can be 12 18 or 24 months .It could just be an upgrade offer .0

I suspect that will be the date when the minimum term on your existing contract expires.
Going forwards, put a reminder in your calendar/diary.0 -
Thanks but the email doesn't say when the contract ends. AFAIK it was 18 months which is why this new email was a bit odd but they definitely said that my contract was ending "soon" and I don't class 6 months as soon. So either they're trying to lock me in or they've shortened my contract.Anyway looking at your order via this link lets you see your contract length and as I suspected they've sent it six months early as a way to get you to renew0

They make every attempt to confuse/obfuscate. There is nowhere on MyBT where you can see this information despite it being obvious to do so except for a company which wishes to retain customers by confusing them. You can, of course, keep an original email or put a note in your calendar and I do but it shouldn't be necessary to see and end date. BT aren't, of course, the only ones who do this.0

In my SIL's My Orders it showsSo fairly clear to me. The price did go up from £24.99 to £32.99 on 4th Mar. There is currently a banner on the account stating "your broadband discount is ending" but she is not in contract and her £8 discount has already gone so don't understand that one. The current offer is for £32.99 for 24 months rising to £40.99 - some offer ! She doesn't want to change suppliers and is on a Market A exchange getting 1Mb so will be getting stiffed anyway.Contract terms
Package - 18 months from 04 Sep 2018
Your new broadband and contract started on4 Sep 2018

The OP will probably need to do an online chat to find the info they want.
