I've noticed a couple of sites are slower today, however networks have these issues from time-to time. It's not been a long-standing issue for me.0

Smarty are owned by Three, so its the same network
Couple of things you might want to check - have you updated the APN (the Smarty dashboard show you how), also have you asked Smarty to not block adult sites - you just have to do an age verification thing or talk to their chat.
Lastly you could just change your DNS provider to another one like 1.1.1.1

Just tried those sites on Three, they load in a second or two. I tried direct and via a VPN (UK IP address) both the same load times. My connection speed is around 30Mb/s this afternoon on a 2 bar signal strength over 4G.
Have you tried:
(a) a speed check, ie is your connection very slow.
(b) tried via a VPN? There are VPN apps for free, the free ones can be slow, but might at least work around whatever may be stopping the sites loading.
(c) have you a “pop up blocker” or “advert blocker” running that might stop the sites loading?1 -
I am wondering if its some kind of obscure issue with the Smarty IP range being blocked by a CDN like Cloudflare. Can you tell if those sites you can't access use Cloudflare (who incidentally provide the DNS I suggested using).
It seems strange that only a limited amount of sites are experiencing issues, so IP range blocking/throttling seem like a reasonable guess, especially as proxying seems to work.
I've not got easy access to my Smarty sims at the moment, otherwise I'd try for you and report back. I'll attempt to get someone to try later0 -
If being blocked by a particular IP range, a VPN will produce a virtual IP for almost any country you care to pick, although the free ones will be quite limited as to country choice.

jnhuasd said:Thanks to everyone for your responses. The issue is now sorted. Eventually I spoke with a decent Smarty customer service representative who was escalating the matter for me. However on Wednesday last week the Three network in my area went down for most of the day and when it came back up everything is now working. I don't know if that was just a coincidence or not. I now have what I wanted, a brilliant deal, a single place to manage multiple accounts, and not tied in to a contract.0

Hi All,
I've just been on the Smarty website to sign up for the 30gb £10 a month deal. However, as soon as I click on the 'get the deal' button the screen just goes blank on the computer. Any ideas why this is. I can get on initially and read up on all the info they have, but just can't access the part to sign up for it. It's driving me mad! Any help appreciated. I'm on a public library computer but I wouldn't have thought that would be the problem as I'm able to access the information etc.0 -
