well , just thought i would updated.
i think i made a mistake in  removing the affected leaves and twigs which were at the top of the tree, with secateurs , as after that the remaining leaves are now droopy and look rather sad.
i just hope they will pick up again.
i removed them because it was advice shown on utube.
Removing top growth doesn't cause drooping. Either the tree is too dry and needs watering, or if it's in a pot, it may have been over-watered

they are the miniature trees and are in the big 40< litre boxes as wwatas advised in the literature would be suitable for them.
i water them regularly in late afternoon after it has been a sunny day, and there are drainage holes at the bottom,
recently , when we had a cold spell and it had been raining i did not water them.
i didn't really think i could overwater as they have survived the winter  cold and heavy spells of rain

    Nice to save.

I don't know about elsewhere, but we had frosts last week, damage from which a neighbour incorrectly diagnosed as 'burning' by strong winds and sunshine. If she'd got up earlier, she'd have seen the white stuff herself!
Just a thought. Containers sound fine.

How are you watering the boxes?
Is there water getting to the base?
I've put a plumbing waste pipe with holes drilled in sunk to half way down the big pots. It's easy to fill with water and filters out below where the surface water will get. Encourages the roots down too.

I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

i water with a hosepipe until water drains out from the bottom of the boxes.
well, the leaves all wilted and dried , my neighbour suggested i remove them and hopefully i would get buds again.,
i scratched the  main trunk of the tree, and it was green , so hopefully it is still alive.
i guess its a waiting game now,
    Nice to save.
