Working from Home - Home Insurance & Mortgage

Hi
I am an office worker currently working from home. I am in one of the High Risk categories for Covid 19 so may be working from home for some time. My Boss and I have even briefly touched on it becoming a permanent thing as it is working very well. My concerns are (1) my Home Insurance website (LV) is saying I am covered if working from home due to Covid 19 but doesn't say if I would be if it were to become permanent. (2) I am sure somewhere in my Mortgage paperwork I have seen working from home mentioned as not allowed - it may say Running a Business - which is different (isn't it?). I would be doing purely administrative duties from home.
I would also like to know if working from home affects anything else - I know about the £6 Tax thing (which my employer is currently ignoring) is there anything else I should be aware of.
Thanks

Running a business is totally different to working from home, so dont worry about that.
As for the £6 tax thing, people seem to be getting rather giddy about this however the facts are it isnt £6 back a week, it is £6 TAX RELIEF a week, which equates to an extra £1.20 back a week for a basic rate taxpayer. Employers are under no obligation to pay this, so you have to claim it yourself. Up to you if you think it is worth it for £1.20 a week.0 -
If it becomes permanent I would contact and LV and see what they say, I doubt it would make much difference. The mortgage makes no difference. You would also save on travel costs so another bonus for you.0

House insurances generally allow admin type work. But you should check with them. I assume the room that you use for working in is also used domestically at other times? My suggestion and/or advice is my own and it is up to you if you follow it, please check the advice given before acting on it.0

They might even be a reduction as you are home more, so less chance of being broken into.
