We are due to travel as a family to Majorca on the 10 June, i booked it all myself directly with the hotel and did the flights with easyjet
At the moment easyjet say they are still flying there and the hotel says it will reopen on the 1st June, my parents are coming with us and my father is over 80 so i had to take specialist cover for him in January with paying too much,  i have checked the small print of his policy and it states it does not cover pandemics, if he got a note from his doctor which he can as he has heart problems telling him not to travel because he is at risk as he is in the at risk category  would this bypass the pandemic exclusion
Thanks

Would the not fit to fly note state unable to to travel due to risk of COVID 19 rather than his pre existing conditions? Just a thought... in which case I would (but I could be wrong) expect the insurers to say it is linked?

I didn't think of that , he would only get a refund if the reason is not covid related

There is very little chance of Easyjet  flying in June. especially the early part.
With the hotel the lockdown rules are starting to be relaxed, but I can't see them being open to international tourist in a months time.

You are better off checking the Spain's lockdown rules,  as the hotel might try to say it's open when it isn't

Spanish borders may be closed until October for air travellers.

    Nothing is confirmed though
