Should I get in touch with them and explain that this is the first time I've heard anything about this (didn't find no notices on my windscreen either, if it was even me driving!) It was nearly 3 years ago and I couldn't even remember anything if I wanted to! I just don't want them hassling me and family I got a 7 and a 1 year old indoors.0

You need to tell us more about this letter.
For example, is it alleging that you have a court judgment against you, or what?2 -
Take that pic down
you've left all your info on it.You could tell us this relates to permit parking and the ppc is ukcpm.Never contact a debt collector, ever. Ever.Ukcpm can't manage keeper liability back in 2017 I. Pretty sure
but first things first - delete that pic, and upload one scrubbed of the pcn ref, your reg. leave in dates.3 -

i haven't contacted them yet and I don't think I will then. I'm just a bit concerned about bailiffs popping round.

That letter on the other thread you have posted on is not the same. In that other case there was an outstanding court judgment.3

Oh right I see, thaks for pointing that out. Can I keep ignoring it or do I tell them my situation? I've heard a lot of contradicting stuff about it, some people are saying to ignore it if it's gone past the appeal date others say not to ignore it..KeithP said:That letter on the other thread you have posted on is not the same. It depends whether you have had or not had a CCJ against you.
Court letters and/or a CCJ should never be ignored. Letters from court appointed bailiffs should not be ignored.
Letters from powerless debt collectors can be ignored.

I'm not sure if I've had a CCJ to be honest, like I said I've not had any letters from my past address. Are Newlyn debt collectors, that I can ignore or are they court appointed? Sorry I have little knowledge about stuff like this.Fruitcake said:It depends whether you have had or not had a CCJ against you.

If Newlyn were chasing a CCJ in the capacity of a court bailiff, their letter to you would be marked as such. I don't see any reference to that in the one you show above. So this looks to me to be a debt collector letter. How to deal with debt collectors is covered in the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, fourth post down.scoobs85_2 said:

What does your lease/AST say about parking? Does it mention the need to display a permit? then it may take primacy over the self serving TnC of the scammer, and interfere with your lawful right to “quiet enjoyment” of your property, possible an offence under The Landlord and Ten Acts.
Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP., it can cause the scammer extra costs and work, and in some cases, cancellation.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the enacted
Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.
