I applied for my feeder account Wednesday 6th May.
Called yesterday and was advised to wait until they contact me.
Called them today and was advised the same again with no time frame in which I should hear...

I am a sole trader with a personal Halifax account only.
Any advise on other banks who may be able to offer a feeder account?...
Im not holding my breathe for HSBC...

I applied on Tuesday 5th at around 10am, received a call on the 6th to book a phone appointment for the 7th. Was taken through all the forms on the phone and then emailed o sign. Didn’t hear anything for a few days until I got an email saying it’s all signed. It didn’t say anything about how I would receive my account number. Just playing the waiting game now as I’m sure they are inundated

Hi yeah I’m a sole trader as well,,, only got a personal account with Lloyds ... don’t think there are any other banks at the moment that are offering bounce back loans without having a business account .... when I applied with HSBC for a feeder account , she asked me my turnover and what I did etc and just said I would receive a call ... when I called yesterday . I was told I would receive an email .... but just had to wait

    been a week now thou
  • I applied for the feeder account on Monday the 4th and got a call on the 6th. Went through the application over the phone with a really helpful member of the bank. 2 days later I got an email to say everything was signed but recieved no word on the account number to actually apply. 8ve spoken to them twice and I have been told in writing from HSBC that they are unable to open the feeder accounts yet because they are waiting for feeder account terms and conditions to be written so they can be supplied to us before its opened. So ultimately it sounds like the whole fast access to finance that's really desperately needed is in the hands of a legal team. If they are saying they need terms a d conditions before opening but they dont have them it could be months before we get any help. Sadly if it is months like many other businesses I will fold.
Really feel for their staff and the person I spoke to was really helpful but its funds I need at the moment!

Sounds like we’re all in the same boat in terms of little or no progress with the feeder accounts from HSBC...

I think Santander and Yorkshire bank are offering the bounce back loans if you have a current account with them...

Could it be worth switching banks?
I would switch from Halifax to either if I could then be eligible to apply that way?...

Recommend Starling! Only just switched to them recently, they open sole trader accounts as well as businesses registered with companies house, all done on your mobile through the app, really quickly, and its opened really fast too. Think they aim to have this done in 48hrs at most. Then you can apply for a BBL with them.
  • Hi guys! I phoned last Wednesday the 6th and gave all information they asked for. They said it would be five working days and I'd receive my feeder account details his email. No word as yet. Have read some people mention phone appointments? Does anyone know what that is in relation too? Thanks for any info.

The person you spoke to when you rung them just booked you an appointment to open your account. An account manager will call for a phone interview to go through the details and forms. Then send them over to get signed. I had the email saying all forms are completed on Saturday but no word since
