I called the HSBC hotline and after 30min, the latest is that they can't give any update anymore, we should just wait for someone to get in touch. Bounce back nightmare !

I don’t have an account with HSBC but registered for feeder account Monday but heard nothing as yet. Called today and they said call Tuesday if still not heard can be 7 working days. My other half had an account and has two businesses which are in urgent need of the loans and applied Monday and still had nothing back0

Hi All, we got an email from HSBC today please do read the small print, I have not called them yet as its a whole day affair, however, point 12 on the agreement called set off says ( Not sure if they mean from personal accounts) this is a business application any thoughts? If you have money in one of your accounts (except for trust, client or joint accounts), we may set it off against any amount you owe us which is due for payment on other accounts (including money you owe on a joint account) so it reduces or repays the amount you owe us. We'll only do this with accounts in your name and after we have checked that you have enough left in your accounts to cover essential living costs

I'm really not sure how essential living costs are related to a business account? even though Government has backed these loans the bank still try to find a way to be in control they just can't help themselves.....eerr

The government may have backed them but they are going to go after the companies first.0
