Will moving away from BT Broadband affect my Sports Package?

Hi, quick question that someone on here may know the answer to.... (can't find the answer on the BT website and their phone lines are too busy to get to speak to anyone)
my BT Phone and Broadband package is coming up for renewal and the offers they're giving me aren't great. Cheapest deal they're offering is £6 a month more than i'm paying now. I've looked on Sky's website (i'm already a Sky TV customer) and they are offering a better deal BUT, the issue is, I currently have BT Sport (through my SkyQ box but paid for directly to BT through my BT account). So whilst Sky are offering a better phone and broadband package, to get BT Sport through my sky Subscription will cost £24/mnth, rather than the £16/mnth i'm paying now. Effectively meaning there would be little benefit in switching provider.
If I go onto the BT Website as a new customer just to buy the Sports Package alone they seem to want to charge £25 a month, so I'm assuming if I go to cancel my phone and broadband they'll bump up the cost of the Sport Package?
In the absence of being able to speak to anyone at BT, I wondered if anyone on here has had similar experiences?
N.B. Obviously i'm looking at this in the long term. Appreciate there is no sport at the moment, and my Sport package is currently "paused".
