Tough Mudder Refund

Hi, I'm looking for some information on my current situation with Tough Mudder. I purchased my Tough Mudder Ticket in June 2019 from Tough Mudder Ltd. Due to the current coronavirus situation they have rescheduled their events, now I'm unable to attend the new date later this year. I emailed asking for a refund, this was their response: "when we went to process your refund, it was determined that your ticket was purchased in 2019 from the previous Tough Mudder operator. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide refunds for tickets purchased prior to Jan 29th 2020, as these tickets were not purchased from us. Your original ticket was purchased in 2019 from a company called Tough Mudder Ltd, which entered Administration in January 2020. OCR UK Holdings Ltd, a subsidiary of Spartan Race Inc, acquired some of the assets of that company out of administration along with the license to operate Tough Mudder branded events in the UK. We (OCR UK Holdings Ltd), agreed to honour your ticket at the event you'd originally registered for or at another Tough Mudder or Spartan event.  We remain committed to providing your Tough Mudder experience at one of our future events but are unable to provide you with a refund as your ticket was not purchased from us."

Surely, they cannot just not refund people especially during these times. I would like to know my rights, am I entitled to a refund, can I somehow get my money back?

They can if, prior to these times, they went bankrupt.
