Hi I wonder if anyone can help? I had my Eurocamp stay cancelled due to Covid 19. I got the standard offer of a voucher. I emailed asking for an outline of how to apply for a cash refund. Eurocamp replied and said they cannot offer cash refunds until March 2021?? Any advice on what I can do, as this is appalling.

What method of payment did you use?

I replied to ask for a cash refund and was referred to a page on their website. Unfortunately I can't post links but if you go to their covid FAQ page and look at the 6th question it's linked there.

I found this on Eurocamp website
    "

My holiday has been cancelled and I’m not able to change my dates or accept the refund credit note you have provided – how do I request a refund?

If your holiday has been cancelled and you are unable to find a suitable date to amend your booking to and unable to unable to accept a Refund Credit Note, you can request a refund. You can do so by completing the on this form. Please be aware that although we are working hard to facilitate refunds, due to the volume of bookings affected this will take some considerable time. Please bear with us and we will confirm when your refund is being processed."

I clicked onto the link in the above post to request a refund. I was sent an email to confirm my request had been accepted but I would need to wait "a considerable time" before receiving my money back. I emailed back to ask if they can qualify the length of time and they said it is not possible, there is a backlog and they will let me know when they start processing the refund. Is there anything I can do, or do I simply have to wait for a considerable time to get my money back?

I have had the same issue. Refund requested and told the same. It will take a "considerable time". I have emailed twice now and asked for a timeframe only to be told the same again,  "a consierable time". I understand it's difficult times for these companies but I paid for my holiday in full back in December and it looks like I may have to wait until end of March 2021 before I get to see any of my money back. I don't think it is unreasonable to request an estimated time and also feel it is unacceptable for my money to be held for over 15 months.

If they are dealing with a lot of claims they will have no idea when your claim will get to the top of the pile.

You can try a Chargeback,  this will also take time in the current climate,  but still maybe less than a " considerable time""

If they just haven't got the money sat there, there's not much then can do to refund. I'm guessing that's the reason
