Hi All,
I am going through a probate application. I submitted the IHT 205 document before xmas and I got confirmation that it had been processed. I then sent the Will to them and another form that was requested via the online process (can't remember exactly which one). I have recently got the following message, does this mean I just have to wait? Nothing for me to do?
Thanks

Correct - unless the IHT421 is sent to you, in which case you need to forward as requested. A waiting game, I'm afraid!0

IHT421 is relevant to IHT400 Probate application, not to IHT205Dox said:Correct - unless the IHT421 is sent to you, in which case you need to forward as requested. A waiting game, I'm afraid!
If it was IHT205 application I suggest you contact Probate Office and ask why they need IHT421skipfeeney said:Hi All,

Sorry yes it was IHT400 that I completed, due to some assets placed in a trust. I did get something back from HRMC which I can't find at the moment
how likely would it be that they sent me it? Thanks for the response. 0 -

When I was executor for my late sister's estate (summer 2018) the form IHT421 I'd completed was sent electronically by HMRC to Birmingham Probate Registry.1

HMRC sent the IHT421 to my address and we had to forward it to the probate office. Chase it up, I found them incredibly helpful. We don't stop playing because we grow old; We grow old because we stop playing.0
