Decided to purchase a S&S ISA for the first time. Would you recommend Nutmeg?

You raise a good point about using Nutmeg as a stepping stone on your investment journey. When the sums of money involved are small, going for expensive providers with a good user interface and/or good customer support can be worth what ends up being a small difference in cost. This is also why you might see platforms like Hargreaves Lansdown recommended to newbies. So, rather than being shot down in flames, hopefully people will be educated towards better options that they can use in the future when the difference in fees ends up being much more meaningful. It seems you are already thinking along these lines, so that's good.griffinsaver26 said:I’m a first time S&S Isa investor as well and plumped to use Nutmeg. I know I’ll be shot down in flames for this, but the clear interface and usability of the app has really helped me and I’ve no regrets with the return it’s showing so far.
I think next year I will invest with Vanguard but I’m glad I went with Nutmeg as a starting point

I was planning on using Nutmeg because of the UI too but maybe I’ll read more into the others now...!0

The robo guidence options across the board tend to have good UI. That is not surprising as they generally try to focus on people whose priority is how good the app is rather than how good the investment is or how much it costs.skybluearmyontour said:I was planning on using Nutmeg because of the UI too but maybe I’ll read more into the others now...!I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). I still have a small amount with Nutmeg, taken out about 5 or so years back. It was my first foray into personal investing and over that time it returned me over 30%. Not earth shattering but it was simple and easy to use and suitable for a beginner. I now have taken ore control and have been moving into my own choice of funds.I don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!1
