If you tell us why you want a bank with a local branch, perhaps we can help. What exactly do you want to do in a branch?

I would like a branch in town so I can make withdrawals in person over the counter. I'm very bad at budgeting and overspend if I use my debit card. I would like to go to bank with my support staff and withdraw the money every Thursday I need for the week. I then can give my bank card back to staff member and the card be kept at the main office so I don't overspend.
All well and good giving the card to staff member who keeps it in the office but your not meant to let the card leave your sight, where is it exactly kept ?
What if the office is broken into, the card is taken and a spending spree is put on the card ?

Would you not be better off with a bank who gives its customers to lock the card ?
Halifax have the option, Monzo and Starling also have this option but they are only app based with no branches.

You don't need a counter to withdraw cash, as it can all be done through an ATM. Banks are encouraging their customers more and more to use machines for cash withdrawals, especially if it's small amounts.

Also, with the Covid-19 crisis, most shops are encouraging their customers to use contactless card payments in preference to cash. If you want a card that has a set limit, you could have a look at something like a pre-paid card. Or may be you could use a PINGIT device, linked to a PINGIT jar that you fill with whatever your maximum spend money is. I think PINGIT also do a card (linked to a jar) if you prefer a card. PINGIT is a free service from Barclays and works with any current account.

You seem to be in control of your spending.  I am not sure why you are saying that there is a monthly overspend.  Your income and expenses (including debt repayments) all balance out.  :)

Edit: Oh sorry.  Just looked again and you have a small negative balance.  But it should be relatively straightforward to get things balancing.  Maybe your social worker can take a look at your SOA.  They'd be best placed to advise you.  :)

The people I live with also have disabilities, they keep their cards in the office, There is a member of staff on sight all the time, the office is on a fob so locked when not in use, we each have our individual filing cabinet draw which our folders in it, that is also locked.

I would like the main office to look after my bank card, they are happy to do this, they will keep the card in their safe and give it me every Thursday.

I would like to do this because I am rubbish with money and people asked to borrow money off me all the time and I'm not able to say no and we have another person move into my shared supported living house and he takes drugs so is constantly asking for money and when I've had alcohol I'm a pleasing person... I haven't told my staff I give him money for drugs but my community nurse nows.. Since I ripped my card up two weeks ago he hasn't asked so I feel I would be better off just withdrawing the money I need from either cash machine or over the counter as this will lession me give money away and purchasing excess alcohol... I already have a appointee at county hall social services so down as having limited capacity especially when I have a decline in my mental health.

You need to tell the staff what is happening.  Then they can support you.  They need to know that you are always being asked for money you haven't got, so that your flat-share friends can buy alcohol and drugs.  It is not fair on you.  What did the community nurse say when you told them?

He told me if it continues he'll have to put a safeguarding in but I don't want that to happen as I don't want my PA lowering. I am trying to find better ways to sort this out myself... I am also worried about the reaction I would get off this person he if knows I told staff about him (they already know he takes drugs) I'm just worried about having my money stopped...

Ok, so basically you want to restrict your access to cash for various reasons.

You don't need to go to a physical bank branch in town to do that. Your support worker can still look after your card and go with you, either to the nearest ATM or to possibly to a Post Office as many banks will let you draw cash out of your account using your card at a Post Office.
