Air France flights mis sold

I literally need any help or advice possible.
I booked a package holiday with Disneyland Paris through a high street travel agent. We had our initial flights cancelled due to the unfortunate collapse of Fly Be. We were then given several flights options via the high street travel agent whilst on the phone to Disneyland Paris. And no point in the conversation were we made aware that the flights were non-refundable. We rebooked the flights with Air France. We are now trying to reschedule our holiday due to the current situation and and have been told we will lose the flight money due to them being non-refundable. Is there anything we can do? The travel agents will not do anything and we feel we were not given the right information and in fact miss sold these flights. Now we are set to lose hundreds of pounds and no-one seems to want to help. Any advice is welcome.

Fully flexible and refundable tickets are typically very expensive and would be unlikely to be ever offered as part of a package to Paris/Disneyland Paris.

The flights are refundable if they were cancelled by the airline - what date did you re-book them for?

As above, virtually all flights sold are non-refundable.

If you indeed booked a package trip, including flights and accommodation etc then you have a Package Holiday as per the Package and Linked Travel Arrangements 2018 and if they have to cancel the trip you are entitled to a full refund.

Even if you don't have a package, as @jonesMUFCforever says, if an airline has to cancel a flight you are entitled to a refund.  When is your trip?  It seems that at the moment you may be trying to initiate the cancellation / date change voluntarily?

Were your Flybe flights flexible (unlikely for a package flight unless you specified and paid the significant extra) ? Without this you've no claim for mis-selling as you were provided with a like-for-like replacement.

If the flights are during the lockdown then there’s a decent chance that the airline cancels them and refunds you, but this may not happen until the day of the flight. It’s unfortunate, but there’s really not much that you can do about it.
