Cp plus parking charge

Hi, I parked in a disability parking bay free of charge. Didnt read the display properly about logging with Information desk. Got a charge for £40 and appealed this. Then got another charge notice for £70 and a letter saying very little apart from referring me to previous correspondence which I haven't had. Tried to pay the fine as fed up 20 plus times on line and phone  to  no avail as system keeps rejecting payment on several different cards. Charge is now £140, devastated. No one answering phone and payment link still not working.
Can anyone please give some advice

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP., it can cause the scammer extra costs and work, and in some cases, cancellation.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the enacted

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Why?!  Thank the lord you DIDN'T pay this scam!  You dodged a bullet.

All you needed to do was read any CP Plus thread (all the same...very easy to beat) and send the forum's template appeal, albeit late.  CP Plus are easy to beat and they can't hold you liable in law as registered keeper, as long as you DON'T tick 'driver' on the appeal page...obviously.

Read the NEWBIES thread before posting, please.  That's why it's pinned at the top of the forum.

Why the devastation?  This is very small beer,  and that extra £40 is likely to be their undoing.   You can always threaten them with a counter claim for disability discrimination.

  • Can somebody please help me.
I have received a letter today from dcbl acting on behalf of CP Plus for a parking ticket issued over a year ago for parking in a retail park.
I telephoned them and was told  that CP plus would have sent me 2 letters. I said that I didn't receive them and was told to take it up with Royal Mail.
I then spoke to Debt Recovery Plus who said that they had nothing on their system.
I went back to dcbl and was told that I had no choice but to pay £170.
Has anybody else come across this?

You really must start your own as it gets confusing.  Once you do that, we can tell you all about DCBL and their rubbish
