Have you even looked at the link provided ?50Twuncle said:st999 said:My car battery went flat, so I had to get a jump start so I thought I should get a car battery charger.
Then I thought, maybe a car jump starter pack like this.

which I could also use to charge my phone and tablet if there was a power cut.
What would you get?How would you use this to charge your phone/tablet in a power cut ?You need power to run it !!
OP. I have an Aukey version and it has no trouble starting a 4l V8 petrol engine and a 3l v6 diesel from flat. Just remember to keep it charged (I usually put it on charge once a month)0 -
It's a lithium battery pack so why would you need a power supply to use it?50Twuncle said:How would you use this to charge your phone/tablet in a power cut ?You need power to run it !!

A lot will depend on the compression ratio a huge difference in cranking power when the engine is 7:1 to 10.4:1 for petrol
or 17:1 to 23:1 for a diesel. Massive difference in the power required to crank the engine.
Add in the fact that a diesel may instantly draw close to 60amps for the glowplugs.
