Credit Karma AML Search

I have just seen an Anti Money Laundering search on my Credit Karma credit report by Paypal. No real issue there as I have a Paypal account. However, it shows my date of birth differently on the Credit Karma app and on Credit Karma online.
All of the other details are identical including the search reference number. It is a concern then that one piece of data is different. This suggests human input error but I would have assumed that the data was all held digitally.

I get AML searches every now and then. Just them doing their necessary checks. Ain't nothing to worry about (unless you have actually been money laundering!! lol)I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

I understand that but why is my date of birth shown differently on the app version compared with the online version. It is the same search report number.Willing2Learn said:I get AML searches every now and then. Just them doing their necessary checks. Is the day or month off by exactly 1? Could be a programming snafu.2

Yes, 1 day. Perhaps Snafu only affects the app.kuratowski said:Is the day or month off by exactly 1? Could be a programming snafu.
Also, is it Paypal or Credit Karma or maybe Transunion.

I find that there are often reporting errors via CreditKarma, ClearScore and MSE Credit Club. So, even though I use those three, I always get statutory reports direct from the organ-grinders every few months, so that I can confirm data accuracy.

I don't have any special insight into credit karma's app, but dealing with dates in programming across different computer platforms can be tricky, and seeing a date off by 1 is not uncommon. Whenever my phone contacts are synced with the PC, all the birthdays shift forward by 1 day. Luckily I know the true dates!2

I have a free Equifax account following their data breach a few years back. Unfortunately, this means I cannot get a vanilla Equifax statutory report. It always directs me back to the Equifax Protect product.Willing2Learn said:I find that there are often reporting errors via CreditKarma, ClearScore and MSE Credit Club. I guess it is the same as the statutory report but I do find the vanilla Experian and Transunion statutory reports more comforting.0 -
You are selecting the wrong options. I also have an old Equifax account from years ago. When you logon to Equifax select the Credit Report tab (not the credit score tab as that is a paid subscription). Then simply request the free option and you get instant access to your online statutory report snapshot for that day. I have tried this before and just tried it again now and it just takes me back to my Equifax Protect login page where they call my standard report my statutory report.Willing2Learn said:
