Furlough pay delay

Hi, I was furloughed in March and only received my pay on 1 May and I’m being told by payroll that I won’t get April’s until they have notification that they can apply. Is it true that salaries are delayed as my partners salary cane through fine with his company. Thanks

Assuming you should have been paid the 30th april, there was no reason your employer couldn't have made a claim on 20th april for both march & aprils payroll.
