Jpwhittle, that was a nice positive post to read and very inspiring.
Well i have decided that at the end of this month i am coming back into this challenge, i really enjoyed it and although i won't be paying much off i will be working hard to earn money to pay things off!:j Live on £4500, £2531/£4500:T 101 in 1001 (52/101):j:beer::j

good grief took some time finding this post! hello everyone hope you're all well, just had a letter of hellifax offering me £606 c/card charges back this morning! so end of next week I'll have totally paid it off, it's at 29.9% and i owed £3000 on it just before Christmas so I'm really chuffed and proud of myself! LOVE this website and this forum, i feel so much more in control of my life, i look forward to the post in the morning now cause it's going to be gift vouchers or freebies etc rather than this time last year when i thought i was going to loose everything I'd worked so hard for! I've even managed to download the right software that will let me post on eBay and also do this on here :j :T lol even the cost of fuel can't get me down today!get rid of all the pounds by summer !!
weight loss 3/42 lb
Debt from 1st March:
Was -£8900 NOW-£5000 PAID- £3900
Get rid of the weight, pay the debt, then get myself a campavan! :T0 -
Lamarsi, excellent news, well done you for paying off so much and for getting credit card charges back. Haven't been on the freebies board for ages, but you've tempted me to go and take a trip!:j Live on £4500, £2531/£4500:T 101 in 1001 (52/101):j:beer::j

Well done Lamarsi..it feels great when those pesky debts bite the dust.I am another that forgets to look on the freebie board....
Update today my loan £186.01 has gone out ..haven't updated sig yet as DGS has broke my calculator but will try to work it out later.0 -
Well, i ventured back onto the freebies board but never seem to find anything to apply for, don't have children or pets so perhaps not that great for me. Perhaps i will just start with small steps by using money off coupons first, especially as i don't do these either:o:j Live on £4500, £2531/£4500:T 101 in 1001 (52/101):j:beer::j

Hi everyone. I was wondering if I could join your challenge. No chance of doing £20k by Xmas, but £10k would be a great target, half way through the year
In summary, I owe £13k ish on my Virgin CC at 0%. I work FT and my OH PT during the shcool term. In theory we should have plenty of money left at the end of the month, but it just never seems to work that way. Hence I am now and MSE addict - and am determined to clear this CC. I have given myself the kick up the jacksie required by getting on here. I quit smoking 3 weeks ago, we are holidaying in a tent in the UK this year etc etc etc
Anyway, if you don't mind me joining you I aim to clear/save £10k by Xmas adn I hope this forum will keep me motivated
PS - its a great thread and a brilliant challenge!!0 -
 Go for it Lewki!
I thought we had two hopes of doing the 20k as I didn't join until March - but we're on target to do it (barring any hiccups!)
