You could have requested the transfer as part of your ISA application but it seems you overlooked that. You might now be able to request the transfer online, but if that's not possible, you can fill in
Thanks for the reply and the link. however I'm getting cold feet with this provider given the poor service I and it seems many others are experiencing.  I'm just glad now I didn'd transfer my other cash ISA's when I applied on line.

There are many of us who've experienced the exact opposite. Trouble free account opening & ISA transfer.

I want to transfer my existing Flexible Cash ISA with Ford to a 1 Year Fixed Cash ISA. I opened the Fixed Cash ISA online on May 5th when the rate was 1.25% (it has now reduced) but although I've messaged them to transfer I've heard nothing and they've done nothing. I've been trying to telephone them for 6 days now as I only have 14 days to get the transfer done but I've been on for anything between 30 and 45 mins each time before giving up! I could transfer the money from the flexible ISA to the fixed ISA but there is no option to transfer the whole amount and no interest has been added to my flkexible ISA yet. I also want to make sure that I will still get the 1.25% rate and that I will not end up with 2 ISAs for the current year and last year with a small amount of interest left in the flexible ISA. I tried another message to them yesterday and I've now been on the phone to them for about an hour and am just about to give up again! If I can't contact them I'll just let the fixed ISA lapse and transfer to another provider. Not impressed!
  • Has anyone invested in UBS assett management. Cash ISA rates seem to good to be true

Has anyone had any success transferring to Ford Money? It’s 3 weeks since opening online and nothing other than a request to prove ID which had already been sent.
don't suppose this helps much but i put in an online request to transfer an ISA from the coventry to ford on the 15th may and it was completed on the 22nd, but since i already had a ford easy access account open that might have saved some time as no further requests for ID were requested

I put request to transfer an ISA from Nationwide to Ford on 05th May and it was completed today! Ford did not contact me to say that transfer was done.
  • I managed to transfer in my deposit OK, but I have been told by Ford I can't transfer any more funds in to the ISA after the first 20 days or so - its the Fixed Cash ISA 1 Year account. I've never had this with previous ISAs and couldn't find anything in the T&Cs that explicitly says I can't do this?

An initial window when opening a fixed term account is a standard condition with the vast majority of such accounts, and is certainly explained for the Ford one at https://www.fordmoney.co.uk/savings-products/fixed-cash-isa

You can make an unlimited number of deposits and transfers in, within 14 days from the date we receive your application. After this deposit window no additional deposits are permitted.

Edit: unsurprisingly also covered in the full Ts & Cs at https://www.fordmoney.co.uk/content/dam/fmny/uk/documents/Fixed-Cash-ISA-Product-Terms.pdf

You can make an unlimited number of deposits and transfers-in from other ISAs you hold for 14 days from the date we receive your application, as long as the total value doesn’t exceed the maximum value allowed. We refer to this 14-day period as the ‘deposit window’. After this deposit window closes no additional deposits are permitted. If a deposit into your ISA takes you over your annual limit, we will return that deposit to you in full.

    Transfers-in

When you transfer ISA funds to a Ford Money ISA, we call this a ‘Transfer-in’. In line with HMRC ISA Regulations, you can transfer ISAs from the current tax year (all subscriptions, interest and income earned), along with any previous ISAs you’ve held (either with us or another ISA provider) into your Ford Money Fixed Cash ISA. This must be done within the Ford Money Fixed Cash ISA Deposit Window.

I got stung by this too :-(  I kept transferring my money (after the 21 days - ok b4 this) but it kept getting sent back...Left a secure message to Ford Money but no joy eventually I just sent a message on twitter and they got back to me after 5 mins - no 2 hrs waiting on a phone line !
I did give them the wrong details of my Nationwide ISA transfer but they managed to transfer it to the new 1.25% so a result there...Another lesson learned - if it's too good to be true.....
Apart from telephone helpline - Ford Money is very good as always got a text message when money went into my account
