Parking eye appeal unsuccessful

Hi everyone, this is my first post. 

I parked in Aldi, I rarely go there so I clearly recall entering my car registration into the computer. I received a charge from parking eye, submitted an appeal with a photo of the receipt and bank transaction for proof of payment. And it’s been unsuccessful!

What else can I do?! Surely they can’t just claim you didn’t enter your number and tough luck you have to pay?

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully, when life gets back to normal, it will become impossible for those scammers who are left to continue their vile trade, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.

Have you complained to the Aldi manager (and if no success there with their HO parking department)?  How much did you spend there?  Have you received a POPLA code from PE?

But don't lose too much sleep over 'consequences' as it is commonly understood that PE don't pursue Aldi customers in the courts, which we presume to be because Aldi don't want their customers sued by a third party for a minor infraction while shopping with them.
