Exceeding £85k in an ISA

I've already opened a new cash ISA this year and have part transferred an old ISA into it as well as putting in some cash from this year's allowance to bring it up to the £85k guarantee limit. Can I open another cash ISA this tax year into which I will transfer other funds from other ISAs from previous years? I am not putting any of my 20/21 ISA allowance into this new cash ISA.
Thanks

Provided that your ISA allows partial transfers-out, and your target ISA allows partial transfers-in, you can certainly ask for a partial transfer of some of your previous years' funds. Alternatively, under the same provisos, you can request transfer of your entire 2020-21 deposits to a new ISA and then top up that new ISA (if, of course, the new ISA allows ongoing deposits).
