Future Ryanair Bookings

Options
Morning,
Hoping somebody can advise me with the below questions,
I have return flights booked with Ryanair for June to and from France and July to and from Spain. Can you cancel future return flight bookings and receive a cash refund?
The reason being I've had my Airbnb accommodation cancelled and to be honest in the current climate I don’t want to risk my family flying.
Hoping somebody can provide advise.
Many Thanks

Short answer is no.  Ryanair flights are non-refundable.

However, if and when Ryanair cancel the flights you will be entitled to a refund.   I would say your June flights will almost certainly be cancelled.  It's likely the July ones to Spain would be too.  Ryanair are cancelling flights on a rolling basis, around 10-14 days in advance.  You get a SMS and email notification when the flights are cancelled.

If the flights go ahead you wouldn't be entitled to a refund.  You may be able to claim on travel insurance, although would depend on your level of cover and FCO travel advice etc
  • Hi, I have booked a flight together with car hire and extra insurance all through Ryanair, the costs were taken in two debits, one for the flights and one for the car hire and extra insurance. I do not think we will be able to travel in June due to covid19. Should Ryanair refund all the costs, or will I have to contact the car hire and insurance company separately.

    looking for advise. Many thanks

If this was booked in the U.K. you may have what is termed a ‘linked travel arrangement’ and therefore refund rights under the Package Travel Regulations.  The flights and car rental would need to have been booked together or within a short time after (24h I believe).  Having an ATOL certificate will be the clue to look for.

If conditions above fulfilled then in theory you would be due a refund on all the costs of the holiday elements (flight and car rental) should the flight be cancelled.
