Not one today - ordered the last few bits to get our house in order, then curbing my spending to an absolute minimum. Being at home more has opened OH's eyes to the fact we need more storage - which I've been saying for ages :joy:
SSDD23, are you building cupboards? ... Sounds very practical!
The plan was for a kind of display cabinet/shelving unit in the kitchen but that's transformed into getting a desk with storage for us both to work at. I've just bought extra little boxes and stuff to keep things in :joy:

I don't count essentials, for example I have to get the bus to work due to distance so ticket fare not counted. But if I take the car, this is more costly parking wise so it is counted in spending. I don't do big food shops due to renting a room I have 1 cupboard 2 freezer drawer and one  fridge shelf so I don't count my essential food shopping, things that make up meals.
To me I use the challenge to make me question if I really need something. Yes sometimes I really do need that bar of chocolate lol
    Hope that helps.

Well done SSDD23 imageimageimage It's interesting hearing how this group spends and doesn't spend money ... we seem like quite a down-to-earth lot to me! image

I've had 2 NSD's over the weekend - today should be too but I will check back in later to declare if i manage it.

I exclude bills, fuel and groceries too like a lot of people I see them as essential - however if I have to put extra money into the weekly shopping budget then I count that as a spend.  Like Cathybird it's interesting to see how everybody works it, but I dont have the freezer space to bulk buy so would probably find it quite disheartening if I included groceries.

Well done bloomfelt Also with groceries even if you do have freezer space you really have to get some fresh stuff some of the time ... it just makes sense to me to exclude basic fruit & veg etc.

To be honest I much prefer everything fresh, although I am having to make some sacrifices at present as I feel like I should only shop once a week.  If I do freeze it's normally what we cant eat before it goes bad not shop bought bags.

    Afternoon everyone.
Day 3 for me today please Cathy. Oh how I felt so strong going past my favourite place to buy a latte. I'll leave it as a treat for my day off work on Friday.

    Yes, sometimes you really do!

Hi everyone. Bright shiny new month and I've already managed to miss 3 NSD opportunities  joy  I had lots of little spends for the van and house that all added up. Sigh. Never mind. Back on it now. No spend for me today so adding number 1!
